Wow

Well, here I am. I’ve been meaning to start this whole blogging business for a while now, and yesterday was finally the day I was inspired to up and do it. See, I’m a grad student. And the way that works is that I spend most of my days holed up in my apartment trying desperately to get all my work done. Yesterday was a failure. I spent the day knitting and reading blogs and feeling guilty and living vicariously through other people who didn’t make horrible life choices.

What does this have to do with me signing up to blog? I realized that I need to have some form of interaction with others every day – even if just online – and I also realized that if I have to blog about my grad student/knitting life, I’ll get a lot more done if only because I need something to write about. Also, if I write about it, I’ll find ways of feeling good about it.

All in all, good for me and, hopefully, good for you. Whoever you are. If you are. I suppose that part will take more time.

I’ll update with pictures later, of my current knitting project and – I know this is what you’re most excited about! – details about me. For now though, I have to go drink my coffee and start in on the day’s work.
